Community Redesign – Modernizing the Autodesk Forums

Early next week, the Autodesk Community Forums will be refreshed with a new look and updated functionality. These changes are part of our ongoing effort to modernize the community, making it easier to navigate and more accessible, fostering a more inclusive, engaging, and informative environment.

For over 15 years, the Autodesk Community Forums have been a vital resource for connecting users, sharing knowledge, and solving problems. This rich history of collaboration and support has laid the foundation for the improvements we’re introducing today.

As highlighted in my previous Product News posts on the Community Blog, this initiative is designed to streamline navigation and improve accessibility across the platform. The goal is to ensure a better overall experience for all members.

Some of you have had an early look at these updates during our recent A/B testing across the community. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who shared their feedback during this phase; as we approach the conclusion of the experiment, I want to reiterate that your insights, as shared in my previous posts have been instrumental in refining the design.

What’s New:

  • Updated Forums experience: Enhanced navigation, optimized mobile experience, new threaded posts and the ability to upvote content.
  • Recommended content: Explore new content sections featuring suggested blog posts, events, and additional resources tailored to your interests.
  • Recognition for top contributors: Visual recognition to help you get to know the most active members in the community.
  • Changes based on your A/B test feedback: We’ve made several updates based on your valuable feedback detailed in the Product News posts. The most recent updates, including the re-introduction of the ranking icons and a reduction of white space at the top of the page are set to launch early next week (more improvements to come on this issue).

Share Your Feedback

To make it easier for you to share your thoughts as you explore the new forums after the launch, we’ve created a dedicated feedback form that you can bookmark and use to report any issues or suggestions.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to enhance the community. Your patience and support are invaluable to us, and we’re excited to bring you more improvements soon.

Thank you for being an integral part of the Autodesk Community!

Thank you for the update.

I now have access to the modernized version of the forums.

I will withhold judgment for now, but thus far I am unimpressed.

So I assume the new design is now live but will continue to be amended?  Whilst reintroducing the rank icons is appreciated and the right decision in my opinion, if this is the only thing brought forward from the A/B testing then I think those who took part will be extremely frustrated as the rank icons was one of many things brought up by the community.

Bonjour

I don’t know if it has been asked, but something annoys me a little:
When there are a lot of answers and the message has several pages, we ALWAYS get to the first page.
And it’s only once you’ve scrolled THE WHOLE page that you realize there are others.
The loss of time is significant and leads to fatigue.
Would it be possible to arrive IMMEDIATELY on the last message sent on the LAST page?
