BIM Urban Mobility Projects: Mexicable Naucalpan

The Mexicable Naucalpan (Line 3) will connect high areas of the municipality with the Cuatro Caminos Metro. It is a key project in mobility, social justice and urban development.

Key Benefits:

1.Reduction of transfers: from up to 1.5 h to only 28–30 min.

2.Urban mobility: connects neighborhoods such as Minas San Martín, Valle Dorado and Izcalli Chamapa with the Metro.

3.Social Justice: benefits underserved communities with modern, accessible transportation.

4.Economic impact: drives capital gains, investment and local development.

5.Jobs and infrastructure: generates ~2,800 jobs; it will have solar panels, Wi-Fi and accessibility.

6.Intermodal integration: connection in Cuatro Caminos and triple transfer in San Antonio Zomeyucan.

7.Range: almost 10 km, 10 stations and up to 700,000 users benefited.

Autodesk Construction Cloud Modules Used in BIM Process

DOCS: It serves as the fundamental document management module, in addition to the common data environment it has fundamental tools for our reviews process, we have the possibility of setting permissions by role to each folder, thus being totally trusted for sensitive documents within a project.

Creating Revit Publishing Packages for Review in DOCS

  • Within Autodesk Revit we have the facility to collaborate simultaneously within each discipline and between different teams, this is achieved through the Autodesk Construction Cloud platform, this benefits in having updated information in addition to being able to have real-time interaction.

Revision Flow Process in Autodesk DOCS

  • In Autodesk Docs the files previously published from Revit are copied to folder 1, they are sent for review, this tool is fundamental, it is where we receive all the feedback from the managers in charge of the approvals.
  • These flows were designed not to be rejected, in case there are comments in the deliverables, the managers return the review to the initiator so that they can attack the comments and update the files which will enter a second or more rounds depending on the times they have been returned.

  • This is very helpful as a learning notebook and not to make the same mistakes in other cable bus stations.
  • It is a perfect tool since you can define the number of days for the review process.

Issue tracking in Autodesk DOCS

  • With the Issues section in DOCS we have the opportunity to create issues, these issues are given a responsible, time, type and cause of the problem.

In this project we implemented customizations shown below:

  1. We've customized the issue types with emojis that are easy to identify in sheets and 3D views.
  1. Custom fields have been created to create the Priority Level so that those assigned to issues can attack issues based on their priority.
  1. These are some of the mandatory fields to fill in order to have better control and quality of incidents.
  1. These types of implementations were achieved thanks to The Big Room, forum where you can learn and share everything related to ACC
