PLEASE Fix DEM International Feet/US Survey Feet issue

Please fix the import issue where US Survey Unit DEMs are converted to International Feet.  The workarounds are terrible and error prone.

Map can do this, Infraworks can do this but Civil3d can not.  This after years of complaining.

This honestly seem like a really, really simple ask.  At best a couple of hours.

It is not asking for a New Feature, rather a request to fix a very problematic bug.  Especially when there is so much Lidar being used these days.

Hi Conan,
Have you posted this on the Civil 3D Forum? If you haven't, please consider doing so, and post a link to your data and how you're importing into Civil 3D. I'd like to dig into this.

Dave,

I believe this issue has been posted multiple times on the main forum.  There are work arounds, but they are far from ideal.

Basically as I understand it, DEMs that are State Plan US Foot are inserted as International Feet, causing a shift.

One quick way to see this is to bring in the DEM as a surface then attach to the same file with Map through Workspace.

I believe there are more than one support ticket on this issue.  I think I remember submitting one at my last company years ago.

With the amount of Lidar in use today this is just not acceptable.  It is also not clear to the end user that the data is shifted.

It looks like I can't post data on this forum, but any Lidar in State Plane US feet will have this issue.
