Plan and Profile Masking Draw Order

Plan and Profile Masking Draw Order

If I want to label an alignment or a surface or whatever in a Plan & profile drawing, and I want to background mask the labels, if I bring them to the front in draw order, they get in front of not only the (now xreffed) linework from the parent drawing (which is what I wanted) but also in front of the mask beyond the matchlines of the viewframes.
It would be better, it seems to me, if the viewframe masking was set to be always on top and not somehow part of the xref.
You can't see the masking in the parent drawing, so it's kinda a weird entity in that regard. Couldn't it somehow be coded to be always on top of even labels in the p&p drawing?
