The Pipe Networks are lacking an option of having a vertical curve on a pipe. Horizontal curves are easily created however, we need the same function vertically for PVC radius bends???!
All of this Russian stuff appears to be some sort of C3D third party add-on that is allowing for the curving of a pipe in profile view. It does not appear to be relevant to this suggestion for improvement of Civil 3D itself.
The fact that there is no built in functionality to allow for vertical curves within a pipe network is unacceptable. Does Autodesk not have any actual Civil Engineers or designers on staff? Surely they must realize that more and more flexible materials are being used to construct pipes found in gravity networks? PVC has already been in use for ages and we know you can deflect PVC a substantial amount. Are HDPE and other more flexible pipe materials just being ignored? Even the horizontal curve capacity of the software is seriously lacking.
Considering this is the go-to software for utility design, it's appalling that this basic functionality is not included, and we must resort to splitting pipes into inaccurately represented segments in order to achieve a final result that is anywhere close to design intent.
