Link Label Style.

Link Label Style.

  • Currently, "link label style" doesn't exist in Civil 3D.

In a Code Set Style, you can select a point label style for each point code.

I would like to also have this for "link label style" in the code set style, for each link code.

Why we need "link label style"?

Because we can get a data of the link as you can do in SAC, such as L1.Slope, L1.Length, L1.Xlength, etc... and display them in labels in the section views.

I don't like the current options to show the grade labels in the section views.. (by section view label or by surface section label..) Ok, you can edit the expression about grade to display only a range of grades in the labels of the surface section, but I don't want to use the surface section..I want to use directly the links of the corridor section, so it is vital a "link label style" feature.

I know that we can create a corridor surface for a specific link code, and then create its surface section to show the grade labels of that surface, but...why I need to create obligatory a surface to show grade labels in the section views?....it is stupid.

I'm confused, isn't this the label link you are referring to? Its for cross sections labels. Please explain.1.png

Yes, those labels can be assign to a link code in Cod Set Style.

And you have the options to display Link grade=L1.slope, Link length =L1.xLength, Link slope length =L1.Length and so on. Even expressions are allowed. So please explain your idea.

You don't need a surface to display link labels in corridors sections views. Actually is preferred to display slopes on corridor links and not surface links.

Ok, sorry, I was wrong.

I did say it by heart without checking first in C3D. My fault.

Sorry again.
