kerbs and 90 deg bends

kerbs and 90 deg bends

Would be good if kerbs could finally go round 90 deg corner bends

Are you talking about corridors? Featurelines?

corridors

Status changed to: Implemented

We added 90 deg corners corridors (with kerbs as a major use case) in the Civil 3D 2017 release.

Thanks they look much better on the 90 deg in 2017!

couple of issues i've noticed with these, could you advise on them please:

see attached picture,

  • when using a standard 20m frequency, the surface from corridor fails to generate for 90 deg kerbs correctly
  • if you change this to 5m frequency it still fails
  • surface from corridor only works correctly at 2m
  • however when at 2m frequency, the kerbs do not triangulate properly, see bottom right image, 2 random sections of kerb missed, whilst this can be added in via add line, its not ideal

can these issues be addressed, its a shame it doesn't quite work properly as its a huge upgrade on previous versions.

A couple of things:

1. I using at 60' corridor frequency and the standard lane SA and it looks fine for me. One thing to check is that you include a corridor station at the geometry points. These can be added automatically and should be the default.

2. From the first picture, I'm not sure, but the corridor may be OK and what you are seeing is a corridor surface that is shooting a triangle across the corner. If you don't give it a boundary or limit the triangle length, this could be an issue.
