Hello. The real solution to the problem is fixing the software so that the problem does not exist anymore, not changing settings like corridor frequency and hoping that maybe then, the extraction of solids will work properly. Changing settings such as corridor frequency and hoping that maybe, things will work after that, is not solving the problem, it just works around it, it is just one more “work around” for the client must do. The software should be made in such way that the extraction of corridor solids works regardless of the frequency of the corridor, at any corridor frequency. Also, if, inside the lines of code of the Autodesk product, there are limitations for corridor frequencies relative to the functionality of certain tools such as the extraction of 3D solids from a corridor, then this should be easily intuitive for the user, the user should be able to easily figure out that such limitation exists and create its corridors with that proper frequency. A warning should be displayed such as “if you increase the corridor frequency over this value, then the extraction of corridor solids won’t or might not work”. However, as far as I can see, Autodesk’s approach is “try to change corridor frequency and see if the extraction of corridor solids will work”.
Any limitation or constraint that the software has and requires certain specific settings in order for certain tools to work, should be easily be made clear to the user and should be intuitive, not counter-intuitive.
