Export your Civil 3D design to an interactive CDF File

I have a potential customer who is interested in using Civil 3D for their Hyperloop project, and being able to export their designs to an interactive CDF file. Launched by Wolfram, the CDF standard is a computation-powered knowledge container, as everyday as a document, but as interactive as an app.

Please use the following link to find out more about CDF files.

The company is called Hyperloop, and they are financed by entrepreneur Elon Musk. Who also financed Tesla Motors, SpaceX, and paypal amongst many other companies. Hyperloop is developing a high-speed transportation system incorporating reduced-pressure tubes in which pressurized capsules ride on an air cushion driven by linear induction motors and air compressors. Please use the following link to find out more about Hyperloop.

If Autodesk can make this export option available in Civil 3D, bringing in Hyperloop as a client could be huge for us all.

Thanks for your time and have a great day!

I don't see why you would want to wait for Autodesk to create the link. It wouldn't take much work to dump the Civil 3D drawing data into a CDF type file. Seems like already has most of the code created and it would be an exercise in mapping the data to how the CDF file type needs it.

The power of CDF is to perform the re-calculation and re-visualization of something on-the-fly.    The best you might get is a bunch of static reports int oa CDF-like format, with images of each element.  Not sure what the expectation is for a Civil 3D based CDF might look like or behave.

Thanks for the feedback. I am forwarding this valuable information on to Hyperloop to see what they think. Thanks again!
