Display point cloud settings that were added to a surface

When you add a point cloud to a surface, the display settings used for the point cloud affect what data is used in the surface.

If you are showing vegetation, water and ground LAS data in your point cloud and add it to a surface then your surface will use all of those elevations.

Or maybe you did the right thing and had only 'ground' data selected when the point cloud was added to the surface? who would know? the settings aren't recorded anywhere and the link is not dynamic, so you can't just update the cloud settings and rebuild the surface.

Please:

1. Add a record of the point cloud settings that are used in a surface definition so that it easy to verify what the surface is representing; and

2. Add an option to make the link to the point cloud dynamic (see http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-civil-3d-ideas/surface-should-be-dynamic-with-any-data/idi-p/6...)

Thanks

- Mick
