Band Aid BIM - Structure Outline in Profile View

One glaring example of Civil 3D NOT being BIM is the total lack of it's ability to properly show the outline of a structure in a profile view. Front view of the structure is currently the only way available when using the outline option in the structure style. 

Why can't we get a projection to the profile view using the actual rotation of the structure? Does Autodesk not have the technical expertise to do this simple task or spec the task correctly?
