AutoCAD: uniform scale and centroid object snap

AutoCAD: uniform scale and centroid object snap

In ÁutoCAD, you can apply different scale for X, Y and Z axis in the Scale command. We must convert the entity/entities to a block to apply different scale.in MicroStation, we can do this directly in the Scale tool.

The "center" osnap in Microstation find the centroid of the selected elements...in AutoCAD, we must create a region and use massprop command.

¿Why the object snap "center" in AutoCAD is only for arcs and circles? It would be interesting to find it in selected objects.

Just fyi, in cad 2017 (maybe in 2016 too) there is a «geometric centre» snap option. I'm pretty sure it does exactly what you want 🙂

FWIW -

GCE poorly recreates the Centroid OSNAP functionality that Gile shared publicly back in +/- 2009, and later published in an Exchange App back in 2012, _several years_ before it was ever a blip on Autodesk's radar as a 'new feature'.

To boot, GCE _still_ completely fails to account for overlapping geometry, despite that being pointed out back in 2016 Beta.

Cheers
