Xrefed Alignments Changing line type to that of the layer it was last saved on

When producing drawings from my xrefed base file I noticed that the alignments had plotted with a sewer linetype. After checking each of the drawings and the xref to ensure that alignments weren't set to the sewer line type I noticed that the last layer I'd used in the xref before saving and plotting had a sewer line type. I found some posts from a while ago (2013) about this happening with colours of alignment labels/ contour labels and it was put down to a bug in the software. Is this still a recognised fault in the software and if so does Autodesk acknowledge it?. Also, are there any fixes to prevent this from happening. Alignments of the road have the sewer linetypeAlignments of the road have the sewer linetype

@Anonymous,

I would start by checking the layer your XREF is on. Making sure that linetype is set correctly.

I checked all my layers and styles of the alignments in the xref and in the drawing. As soon as I reloaded the xref it changed back.

@ebaker ,

Can you please share an example dwg that this happens in? That will greatly help to identify where an issue might be occurring.

I didn't. I don't really work with AutoDesk anymore either so I can't really provide anymore info or examples.
