Xref layers not visible in model/paper space despite shown as thawed and turned on in layer properties.

Opened a sheet file today and noticed objects under certain xref layers not showing up in model or paper space, but still show as turned on and thawed in the layer properties manager tab. It appears that the particular xref layers not showing up are ones that are not in the original template and were added well after the initial setup of the xref. However, I have opened the sheet file many times since then and have not had this problem before.

Interestingly, any object assigned to a new layer in the xref has the same issue in the sheet file and does not appear. Of course I can easily fix this by detaching and reattaching the xref, but I would need to do this to the 30+ sheets I have this particular xref loaded into.

I have attached an empty version of the xref and sheet files that I am referring to. Not entirely sure if it will work or not but the "TEST-LAYER" is an example layer that will not show up in the sheet file.

I have been using C3D 2022 with all current updates/hotfixes I believe. I switched to a new computer a week ago or so and needed to update all my CAD settings so I have a feeling the issue is related to that.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of issue that can provide some insight? Thank you!

Your XREF is clipped in the top file: delete the clip (XCLIP command) and your XREF content reappears.

Wow. That was it thank you!!!! But why would a clipping boundary prevent certain layers within the outer boundary from displaying?

I did not dig into why that was happening in your files, sorry.
