Will using Toolbars effect Civil 3D performance ?

I have been using AutoCad for a very long time. Years back I created/wrote a "ton" of toolbars. I still like using them, but I am getting some flack that they are causing Civil 3D not to work properly. I have also created/wrote an additional toolbar that has Civil 3D commands within it & it works great. Has anyone had issues with using toolbars instead of using the ribbon commands ?

It's not *necessarily* the toolbars themselves.  Civil3D and AutoCAD have changed somewhat over the years, the work processes you designed the toolbars and supporting automation around may not apply or be optimal anymore.  There may be better methods already covered in the Ribbon.

If you're sharing these with others then not having a Ribbon equivalent can make it difficult for them to work with.  If you aren't sharing these with others then there are different users with different work processes, and different results.  At the very least you should consider revisiting your UI design so the same functions are called from Ribbon elements, toolbars, menus, or palettes.
