The font size display in AutoCAD is governed by your screen resolution and the font size setting in the operating system.

AutoCAD itself does not have a setting for this. The closest option would be "Use large buttons for Toolbars" under the Display tab in the Options dialog box.

You can try resolving this problem by doing one of the following:

  • Change the display text size in AutoCAD by reducing your monitor screen resolution.
  • Adjust the font size in Windows. (This choice can cause text to no longer fit correctly in AutoCAD. The UI in AutoCAD is designed for 100% font size and may not scale well.)

To adjust the font size in Windows:

Windows 7 and 8:

  1. Click the Start menu and type "display" in the search field or type it at the desktop.
  2. Click "Set custom text size (DPI)."
  3. Choose a percentage in the drop-down menu or drag the ruler.
  4. Click OK.

Are you running the software on a ultra HD monitor?  There have been reported issues running AutoCad on HiDPI/UHD monitors.  I am not aware if the issue has been resoved but there are quite a few posts relating to this issue.  Here is one which appears to show the same issue as yours > Why AutoCAD 2015 is still not HiDPI compatible?
