WCS/Site coordinate system off in Revit

Hey Civil 3D guys, Revit user here. I have long been trying to figure out how to properly link, position, and aquire coordinates from our surveyors who I think are all using Civil 3D. Here is the situation. I link in the survey.dwg we receive. I position it. I use 'aquire coordinates' and select the survey.dwg. It says it worked. Then I place a spot coordinate on a location in both Revit and Civil 3D and the numbers are slightly off. See Revit screenshot and Civil 3D screenshot. The northing value is off about 7' and the easting value is off about 20'. Yest my spot coordinate is reading the survey coordinate system in Revit. What the heck is going on.

If I can figure this out, everyone at my firm will have a party.

When you say, I position it, can you elaborate on this step?  When I have tried the shared reference point workflow in Revit I found I had to manually click on a point to define this point as the shared reference point.  I would assume the manual clicking will never be 100% accurate.  I would guess the value you see in Civil 3D is correct and Revit is slightly wrong.

One thing I've found is that if your have one drawing with U.S. Surveying Foot and the other in International Foot or just "Foot" it will cause this situation. Units must be set exactly the same.
