I am trying to edit element figures in WaterGEMS/Civil 3D. i.e  Isolation valve appears with thin linework and hardly visible in plot.

Make sure the insolation valve is connected to the pipe, you can edit the valve, select the valve from SYMBOL ELEMENT, then in MODELING PROPERTIES, SYMBOL SIZE MULTIPLIER, define a new size.
