Water course Profiles

Hi all,

im generally new to civil 3D and just have a question about profiles.

Attached is a similar drawing that i`ve been tasked to create.

I`m trying to create a profile of a water course (ditch, dike, rivers), and wanted to show the bed level, silt level, water level and the top of right and left banks.

Ive created a surface and drew an alignment down the center of the water course, i created a profile view and offset it by x amount of meters to include the banks,

now im having trouble including the water and silt levels.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, what is the problem you have when including the water and silt levels?

thanks for the reply!

whats the best way to add them to the profile? best way i found so far is to create the water and silt as separate surfaces.

also can you recommend any sites or tutorials on how to draw profiles similar to what ive attached in my original post?

Sadly, I cannot think of any other way to achieve what you want but to create either a layout profile or a surface profile that represents the level of the water and silt. I can recommend these videos to guide you through the process of creating new profile view styles and band styles that suit your needs:
