Utilities at elevation

Our field crew has located some underground utility lines-water, electric etc.. I'd like to set those lines to be at a specific level or drop from the surface so the waterline will display in a profile 42" below the surface elevation and the electric 24" below surface elevation.  I'm fooling around with pipe networks but am not familiar enough with that part of C3D to make any real headway. Any guidance is appreciated.

you can create a FL at the plan location, set the elevation from surface then lower the FL the needed amount. then create pipe network from object. You probably want to set the nodes to be null structures that do not plot

Can you clarify by what you mean as "FL"?

FL = Feature Line

You could also project the feature line into the profile view.
