Upgrading from 2025 to 2026

I'm looking for a tool that could help with the install.
How to move from 2025 to 2026 and keep all paths in the option window, including changes in the other tabs, pipe network catalog path as well with changes done to variables and whatnot? Like anything that is not default, how do you transfer?

We'd like to make the installation easier and create some kind of batch or script file that would retrieve the user's 2025 settings and transfer them to 2026.

Any help appreciated.

Used to be A360 had this as a great option as a backup. Then in usual Autodesk fashion they removed that feature and never replaced it. Because Autodesk doesn't care about users anymore.

I just redo the settings and CUI every version update. But I don't use many customized settings precisely due to this same issue.

I don't know of any specific tools that do this. I typically export the profile to a *.arg file, and then manually edit that file to update all copies of the 2025 version to read 2026, and all the sub versioning (ACAD-8100:409 to ACAD-9100:409, for example). Then in the 2026 application, I'll import that modified arg file to create a new profile and test to verify all values carried over.

There are some settings that aren't stored in the profile, but for the most part, this is a quick and dirty way to carry your settings forward with minimal effort.
