Civil 3D does not work in mm. You have a defined geodetic coordinate system set. I'm thinking that is a meter based system. All defined systems are based either on the meter or one of the variants of the foot.

There is no way to work in Civil 3D in millimeters. If you need to work in millimeters. Use AutoCAD (open Civil 3D as AutoCAD) or a program compatible with your discipline. Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, whatever.

@pics.munmun  Go into your drawing settings and on the Ambient Settings tab you need to change the value of units to millimeters for all settings you want shown in millimeters.

@user181 Yes. You can set Civil 3D to display in millimeters. However, to my knowledge, you can't work in millimeters. SVY12 is a meter based system. So units should be set to Meters. The display can be what the OP chooses.

@pics.munmun I'd be interested in what kind of work you're doing that you want Civil 3D set to millimeters.

@AllenJessup is correct, you can set those settings to millimeters all you want, it must be set to Meters in the Drawing Settings and Units, -DWGUNITS
