Trying to make a radial label with flippable label

So I have made this label style to label radial lines but I want to be able to make it flip positions easily when needed.

the solution I came up with is something along the line of this. and don't worry about the ???

the final product will need to have the placeholder gone

so to flip the labels I would use the edit label text function

modify it from this

and modify the text into this

and the labels will have been flipped.

So question is how do I have some sort of a placeholder text that doesn't show up in the label??

if there is other better design to achieve the desired result I would be happy to hear. Keep in mind the solution will also have to apply to all other curve like one on the right

For a line of text that won't show anything remove placeholder text and then on that line hold the ALT key and type 0160. It will leave a blank space as a line of text.
