TrenchPipe3 Target Mapping

Hey all,

I'm stuck with the TrenchPipe3 subassembly. It appears it will only target a Pipe Network, and not a Pressure Pipe Network. Is there a way to get this subassembly to target a Pressure Pipe Assembly?

Otherwise, is there a way to force this issue? I don't see any other subassemblies that could remedy this.

Thanks!

Hello,

Unfortunately, this particular subassembly only works with a pipe network pipe.  It is a function of the .net programming for this subassembly.  You will not be able to use a pressure pipe.

Yes @Mike.M.Carlson is correct that TrenchPipe2 and 3 target pipe networks. As a workaround, if you are set on pressure pipes, you could use a feature line as a corridor baseline and the TrenchPipe1 subassembly. The feature line elevations could be set to the bottom outer pipe elevations and then offset down to the bottom of the trench.

You can also create a pressure pipe network from a feature line and then choose to use the feature line elevations as crown/centerline/invert or outer pipe elevations.

All the best,
Winston

Thank you both for your responses.

While it's a little disappointing that Pipe Networks can be targeted and Pressure Networks can't, and that the SAC cannot be used to create a custom subassembly to target a Pipe/Pressure Network, thank you for providing me with a workaround.

Have a great day!

Hi guys,

I completely agree with Christopher. It is very disapointing, that it doesnt work the same way as gravity pipes. What is even worse, there is no API support for targeting Pressure pipes.
