survey figures forgetting their point file

I have a question or two about the survey figures and issues with them. we are currently running the 2021 version and if I have a fatal error or civil 3d has to think to hard it seems as if the survey figures and points forget what they are supposed to look at and you cant edit them anymore after that. we have to remove everything and start again which is causing us to have to re fix all the survey figure edit up to that point again. is there any known fix for this several people at my company have looked and tried many things nothing seems to work and we need help. 

the only temporary solution is to reorder the point list which takes much longer that just editing the figures.

Editing survey figures has not had any enhancements or fixes in over a decade. Autodesk has stated they don't have the will to work on the survey aspect of C3D.

Your best bet is to try and edit the raw point file to be as complete as possible before importing into the survey database. The less editing of survey figures after import is the best practice, which means making sure the point codes themselves be setup properly for your linework processing and prefix database.
