Survey Data Base Duplicating Point Groups

Has anyone encountered their point groups duplicating in a drawing?

Below is an example where the drawing was created with a single point group per name, and then after importing survey points though the database (for the first time) and opening the file after a weekend away I see duplicate point groups with a .1 after them (similar to how duplicate points are renamed during an import event).

Any ideas if this is due to the point import operation or is this unrelated to using the database feature? Unfortunately, I'm unable to reliably recreate the problem and it makes me think it's a setting I'm selecting on accident from time to time.

I'd appreciate any help, thanks!

That's not coming from the SDB that's coming from inserting a drawing with the same point group in the drawing.

I can't recall when I might have inserted a drawing into this one. It was created from a template (which does contain the original point groups) and the only imported items have been point files. Could copying a block or linework (for example) from another drawing cause it?

Posting this for posterity, found another post with the same problem.
Turns out importing from a template including layouts will bring other data with it as well (probably what was happening in my case).

To simply import the object of your choosing and avoid too much extra data, the Design Center can be used to the same effect.
