Hi, I am new to Civil 3d and I need to create surfaces and contours for my project. I have been watching some tutorials and in surface, the style drop-down is shown several surface styles to choose from but in my civil 3d, I have only standard. can anyone help me with this? appreciate it.

Hi @TourajM,
Look in OPTIONS >> Files >> Template Settings >> Drawing Template File Location. If they are not there, I've attached the Imperial and Metric Templates that ship with Civil 3D.

thanks for your fast reply.
Yes, I got the Template folder which contains several subfolders. I paste the attachments.
I open a new drawing and now I have more options to select for surface style. but when I open my drawing dose options are not available except standard style.

Hi,

You should try this.

Instead of the drawing you may use the dwt file (the template file attached by Dave) to import styles.
