Surface profile disappearing

I have an alignment and an existing surface profile shown. I had to change the alignment geometry and when I did, the profile disappeared. I checked prospector and the profile is still listed just doesnt show the profile in the grid. I checked profile view properties and it is still listed and checked on to display. I undid everything and set the profile to static and changed my alignment geometry and the profile ended up staying just didnt update. Just to check, I changed it back from static to dynamic after changing the alignment and the profile disappeared again. How do I fix this without it going to static?

Check your alignment for breaks in the geometry.

Along with checking for breaks in the alignment as suggested by MMcCall check to see if there are any z-elevations that were accidentally added to the portion of the alignment you modified.

Have you tried a regen after you switch back to dynamic mode. I have found that switching from dynamic to static mode and back does not always work, so I avoid doing it that way

Check the surface, make sure its still a viable surface and/or may need 'rebuild' surface.

audit the file. 

i guess is a video card issue.

a quick workaround is:

before modifying the alignment move the end of the profile a little bit so is not attached to the end. after the alignment is updated and fix, then move the end of the profile to the end of the profile view at the desire elevation. 🙂

the only thing to consider is to move the end of the profile to an area inside the alignment that is not being modify.

(You can also add a temporal PVI to the profile)

Try taking a look at the surface profile in project explorer and see if there are any gaps displayed there.
