Surface has extra points

Hi, everyone, 

 

I have a question here. I am creating a big surface from contour lines. (from the geotech guy)

how come I got those extra lines in the model, seems like creating extra points. how to avoid those?

anyone can help? thanks a lotExtralines.PNG

Looks like the data set has a bunch of objects at elevation zero...

 

One quick way to fix this is to tell the surface to ignore this elevation. Go to the surface's properties dialog, Definitions tab and turn on, 'Exclude Elevations Less Then'. Set an appropriate elevation (blue highlight in image below) and rebuild.

I did this, you can see, there are no data lower than 261.4.
