Hello everyone.
I have a project in which i have to concrete a surface on which there are existing foundations. I have created a surface with the slopes i need for water drainage.
Now i need to merge these surfaces to be able to perform watershed analysis
First of all i try to create a new surface ("Fusion") by joining the 2 surfaces.
As you can see, the existing foundations have disappeared, but the perimeter slopes have been included.
The next idea i have is to obtain the minimum distance between the 2 surfaces (new vs existing) in order to apply a boundary and obtain a new surface with the foundations i need and then try to merge. The problem is that there is a part where they dont intersect.
Any idea how i can do this?
You said "As you can see, the existing foundations have disappeared...."
I can't see that. Can you post a screenshot of Option3 surface? That's the one with the building pads?
Are you able to post the dwg file?
Keep in mind when you paste surfaces, and the surfaces overlap, the last one wins. So if there is an area you don't want to be included in the paste you will need to remove it from the surface.
