Surface Error Parsing Value in point file

I created a surface a few months ago. I had exported a NEZ CDF text file from Leica Cloudworx. I had not problem creating the Surface. Now when I try to rebuild the Surface I get an Error for every point and no Surface. Errors:

I've tried restarting the program, recovering the drawing, re-entering the file and path in the definition. I've also unchecked all the operations other than importing the file on the Definition tab of the Surface Properties dialog box. I've WBlocked the Surface to a new drawing and still have the same problem.

If I start a new drawing and create a new Surface. I can add the point file with no problem. I'm trying to avoid starting from scratch since this is part of a multi-source existing Surface that is used as the base of a volume Surface.

I don't see any issues with the attached point file.

Dear Allen,

How about re-importing  the file in a different name and remove the old definition in the same time.

Thanks

I've considered that. But that would lose all the edits I made to the Surface. I don't remember what was done. Since this is pasted into another Surface that has multiple parts and is the base of a Volume Surface. I'm not sure what the effects would be. There are also Gradings that target the multi-source Surface. It gets complicated quickly. But I may end up doing exactly that.

I found a backup where the Surface will rebuild. So I tried to copy the Surface from the "good" drawing into the damaged one. However there are two roadblocks to this.

1) Even if you delete a Surface. It looks like you can never reuse that name.

2) You cannot change the name of a Surface that has been pasted into another one in the definition of the resultant Surface. IOW I can't bring in a Surface with the name of "Good" and change the name in the Operations pane to Good"

So the best I'm left with is bringing in the good Surface under another name, deleting the broken Surface from the definition, pasting the good Surface in and trying to reestablish the  operation order.
