Surface creation with point files, break lines and triangulation

Dear All,

Please see the attached image with this. There is a surface created with points. The magenta and blue lines are break lines. I added them as proximity.(There are lot of polylines as breaklines. So it is hard to connect the points as 3d polylines) I see the triangles crossing the breaklines(upper red circle).

Also I can't understand the behavior seen in the bottom red circle also. Is this normal behavior of the surface creation. If there is a issue how to resolve it.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks

I think if you use 3d polylines or feature lines, and add them to the surface as standard breaklines, you will get better results. I know you said it's hard to do this because you have many breaklines, but it would be easy to test in one or two problem areas.

In your lower red circle, that looks like a breakline was added. Is there a polyline there? "Is this normal?" you ask. Well, if there is a lonely breakline among sparsely populated points, yes, that looks normal. 😉

allow crossing break lines. I suggest use last brake line elevation and just to be sure re add the brake line, to use magenta and blue lines elevations at intersections.

Dear @tcorey and @Dexterel,

Thanks for you valuable comments. This has mainly happened because of contours. This surface was initially created by another Engineer and he has added both points and contours for the surface. The contour itself acts as a breakline and that's why this happened. However your comments also very helpful for further modification.

Thanks.
