Surface combination

Dear all,

I have made a surface in civil 3d for the existing ground (red line). For a specific area, I asked civil to make a grading with a slope of 5%. Then I created a new surface by combining the above two surfaces (blue line).

My question is how I can change the slope of the two portions in yellow eclipses because they are too steep and I cannot construct them in practice. Your recommendations will be highly recommended.

You need to add a daylight grading from your 5% plane to EG, at the appropriate slope.

As noted in the previous answer using a grading that daylights at the required slope is likely a good fix.  Another option that I sometimes use is to run an alignment around the pads hinge, use the pad to obtain a surface profile and then apply an assembly that daylights at the required grade, in other words make a corridor.  I like this option a little more as I find it more stable than grading and it's very easy to adjust the grading parameters.  Once you have a corridor that you like make a corridor surface.  Hope this helps

You can also try this technique. It will add a buffer around one surface that you are pasting into another surface: https://civil3dplus.wordpress.com/2016/10/31/pasting-surfaces-that-dont-match-adding-a-buffer-betwee...
