Superelevation - Other than AASHTO specified values

Hello

I need to apply superelevation for a road design. The maximum allowable emax is 7%. But as Civil 3D has inbuilt standards and these have set values, I am not sure how do I set the emax to 7%. I know I could do it manually, but dont think its a good idea for a stretch of 20kms of road design.

Hi,

If you need this in long term you can create your own design criteria file from civil 3D by editing an existing one or by creating brand new file. However this need some time.

So the best option would be manually creating the file if you are in a hurry.

As a short cut you can calculate superlevation for AASHTO and export it and manually edit it and then re-import superelevation. It might save some time.

Sometimes other country kits may have max 7% superelevation but I am not too sure about it.
