Structure color won't change

I've created a structure block for my model/profile view to represent a manhole. I created the block white, and set the color to ByLayer. I changed the display settings for everything to be blue but the structure won't stop showing up as magenta and it is completely ignored by my CTB file and prints magenta. Any suggestions?

Try setting the contents of the block(s) to be ByBlock.  This should allow the structure style to define the color.

Select the block and go into the Block Editor (command=be).  Select the objects and be sure the Color, Linetype, and Lineweight are all set to Bylayer.  Then be sure all the objects are on Layer 0.  Close the Block Editor and save the changes.  Now go into the Structure Style and on the Display tab set the layer to your desired layer and be sure the Color, Linetype, and Lineweight are also set to Bylayer.  Now you should be able to set the Layer color to whatever color you wish.

Sounds like the block is by layer A and it is showing a different color. like a color for a different layer. the structure style layer maybe governing not the insert layer
