Spillway stepped Design

I am trying to design a stepped spillway. Is there a way of designing one using subassemblies and modelling a corridor.

Thanks in advance

This would be my attempt at modelling a spillway with a corridor, see attached file.

  • Draw alignment at centreline of spillway
  • Add existing surface profile
  • Draw a proposed profile (Spillway Design), with the elevations and steps of the spillway
  • Create assembly, LinkWidthandSlope and LinkSlopetoSurface
  • LinkWidthandSlope can control the width of the spillway and the cross fall if you have any.  LinkSlopetoSurface can control with steepness of your retaining wall
  • Building Corridor, using Spillway Alignment as your Baseline, Spillway Design as your profile.
  • Corridor Target, set LinkSlopetoSurface target as EG to building retaining walls
  • Build Surface from Corridor
  • Create Surface, paste EG and Corridor Surface for combined finished surface

I would use Generic Pavement structure instead of Link/Width because it has all the target capabilities and you can model structural depth for Material quantity and an accurate structural depth Datum for Earthwork analysis..

I'm thinking a daylight subassembly with benching applied to a featureline perpendicular to the spill way at the top. The target can be a planar construction surface at the bottom. This assumes the spillway has a constant slope and benching parameters.
