Hi @ssoe8N43G,
No, the updates install onto your existing version. For Civil 3D be sure to get updates for Civil 3D, Map 3D, and AutoCAD.

And, if you are referring to having 2024 on your system and updating to 2025, no, you can keep them both on your system.  Autodesk supports the current version and 3 previous versions.  So you could have 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 all installed.   I'm not sure why you would need to, unless you have to use a specific version to keep you from having access to the latest and greatest workflows (such as if you had a client that didnt want you to use corridor transitions, you would probably work in 2022, or just not use them in 2023.2 and higher)
