Sheet Set Manager with Civil 3D 2026 vs AutoCAD 2026.1.1

We're all waiting for SSM to work properly on ACC. It seems like Autodesk is saying that SSM in AutoCAD 2026.1.1 now works on ACC, but I am confused on the language used about Civil 3D 2026.

Here's the link to the "What's new in AutoCAD 2026" AutoCAD 2026 Help | What's New in AutoCAD 2026 | Autodesk, and this text is confusing me:

Important: Working with sheet sets between AutoCAD 2026.1.1 and Autodesk Civil 3D 2026 or 2026.1 may result in compatibility issues. For an enhanced and fully supported workflow, wait for the next Autodesk Civil 3D 2026 Update.

What does this actually mean? Does that mean if everyone is in C3D 2026.1, SSM will work, or do we need to wait for C3D 2026.1.1 or 2026.2?

Can anyone from Autodesk help clarify? Thanks!

SSM + ACC + C3D has never worked properly. If ACAD 2026.1.1 is installed, it removes SSM4W from what that states and upgrades the current (legacy) SSM to have the ability to see users on ACC. Not sure how that'll affect C3D, though. Could be why they want C3D users to wait to upgrade to ACAD 2026.1.1 because C3D will also need to be updated to utilize the new SSM.

This looks to be the death of Sheet Set Manager for Web. At least, for trying to manage it from within AutoCAD/C3D. C3D was never designed to utilize files on a web server directly, which is what SSM4W is. After corrupting every single DST between May-Aug last year and not telling anyone about it I've tried to tell people to not use SSM on an ACC project. Looks like Autodesk has finally realized how much they screwed up by trying to push something so incompatible and featureless on their customer base.

Ok, I've heard from Autodesk that we need to wait for Civil 3D 2026.2 for the SSM update. No estimated timeframe for that, but at least it's coming!
