SAC Create U-shaped concrete channel

Hello,

So I have a challenge, to create U-shaped water removal concrete channel, with subassembly composer. how is it possible to get different geometry to the elevation points of a baseline? as it is done here on the screens below?

this guy at the first time took a feature line and put an assembly on it, after he add elevation points and he have gotten different sections for each times. how can I do it in composer? if you give me some hints this would be perfect thank you in advance.

Hi @Beka_Tchigladze

I recommend you use targets.

Create a channel section with at least the following targets (on both sides)

When creating the corridor you must have the elements that define the internal, external and elevation geometry (alignments, profiles and/or feature lines).

Regards.

@RonaldBrañez

Thank you for your replay but unfortunately this is not what I wanted. I want to use baseline class, not targets, targets are too complicated for this

Can you explain how "he add elevation points"? Where can I see the procedure you saw? Is it a youtube video?

It occurs to me that it can be processed as a transition

the input parameters:
Width0, Height0
Width1,Height1
Distance
PkStart

and using functions like Baseline.Station and conditionals to apply a specific width and height, for example:

Input parameters
Width0=1
High0=1
Width1=0.8
High1=0.8
Distance=2
PkStart=2.5

IF
Math.IEEEremainde(Baseline.Station-StartPk,Distance)=0
THEN
geometry with Width1 and Height1
ELSE
geometry with Width0 and Height0

(Note: IEEERemainder Returns the remainder resulting from the division of a specified number by another specified number.)

Taking into account that the main frequencies of the corridor must coincide with multiples of the Distance parameter, and there must also be frequencies very close to the main ones (0.001).

Regards.

Hi @Beka_Tchigladze

He definitely used the procedure that I indicated in my previous answer.

He have in the subassembly:
Length (Distance)
Start and end width (Width0 and Width1)
Start and end high (High0 and High1)
It does not have PKStart since it uses progressive 0 from the base line.

01.PNG

The Length (Distance) defined in the SA coincides with the frequency of the corridor.

02.PNG

The elevation points it assigns do not define elevations, they simply serve to assign the elevation frequency of the corridor, the distance it assigns to the elevation points is 1 mm more than the horizontal frequency.

03.PNG

With this procedure you can do interesting things, only the creation of the SA needs a little more work.

For example this one I did.

Saludos.

@Beka_Tchigladze

I attach a SA similar to the video. (Change the extension to PKT)

I didn't put any codes.

I hope this helps you understand the idea.

Regards.

Hola@rsalastopografia

de hecho puedes encontrar el procedimiento en el siguiente post > Using SAC to make Cross drainage (Pipe culvert and Box Culvert)  <

Saludos
