Reverse Alignment Direction with Attachments

Hey new to the forums and I have a civil 3d question.

I am currently using Civil 3D 2016. I want to reverse an alignment I drew in the drawing:

So I click on the alignment I want to reverse. Then in the ribbon it populates with alignment editing tools. I click on Geometry Editor. Then on the Geometry Editor toolbar I click on "Reverse Sub-entry direction". After I click on that tool, I then click on the alignment to reverse. When that happens nothing is reversed and I get a message saying "Selected fixed entity has attachment and cannot be reversed. Try again."

What is an attachment? Is there a way to reverse the alignment with attachments? I do have a surface, a network with structures, and a profile view in the same drawing I am trying to reverse he alignment in. Does CAD consider those attachments? I thought you could reverse the alignment and everything will re-populate according to the new direction. Any info will be helpful! Thanks in advance.

Hi @Anonymous     Click the alignment. Click Alignment tab > Modify panel > Reverse Direction.

You can also use the command ReverseAlignmentDirection at the command line

Note: To get to the reverse direction tool you'll need to pull down the bottom of the modify panel.

I'm having a similar problem.

I could reverse the alignment direction but now the profile is mirrored, it didn't reversed as well as the alignment. Did you had this problem too?

The profile view style will control the direction of the view. It will display based on the direction of the alignment, so reversing the alignment will reverse the profile view.  You can make a copy of your current profile view style and change the profile view direction on the Graph tab, then apply this style to your profile view.

It doesn't work 100%, I had to make some adjustments, but it definitely saved a lot of time. Thank you!
