Remove zoom and pan changes from command log

I am (relatively) new to using ACAD. -after 13 years of using MicroStation.

I'm getting accustomed to using Civil 3D and don't mind the change too much.

But there is  one thing that I would really like to change about the program.

Is there a way to keep the main view's zoom/pan changes from logging to the command menu?

I would like to be able to make a graphic change, zoom out, and then undo the change, without the view zooming back into ensure the change didn't inadvertently alter something else.

I'm talking about when operating within the Model tab -not a viewport.

I used this method frequently in MicroStation, but didn't realize how dependent I had become upon it.

Sadly I don't think this feature exists. https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Undo-i...

As a Microstation/Geopak user it takes a while getting used to having an undo command that is pretty much worthless.  Civil 3d really should look into Microstation and see how an undo command should work.
