Remove Sheet Set Manager

Hello All,

I'm using Civil3D 2014 with Windows 8.

I don't prefer to use Sheet Set manager for several reasons... but primarily, it's because i only find it useful a few times per project (sheet renumbering and printing), but i find it annoying constantly on an hourly basis (recent documents), so i just don't use it. However, last week i was sick for a few days and my co-worker was tasked with printing out my project for review. He created a sheet set manager for my project and used it to print. I want it gone, then i'll remove all the .dst files from my recent documents list and go back about my life.

The problem is, that i can't seem to find a way to get rid of it easily. How do i just remove it totally from my project all at once?

If you're talking about the sheet set associated with any particular project, just find out where your co-worker stored the .dst file for the project and delete it.

Nope. I delete the .dst, and the next time i open the drawing, the sheet set manager is still there and the .dst file re-creates itself in the project folder.

Do you have the sheet set closed in the sheet set manager? Make sure...if you don't, it might not be showing, but it will be in the drop-down box in the SSM...it has to be closed in order to delete in in windows explorer...

Try this:-

1. Click View tab > Plattes panel > Sheet Set Manager or Ctrl + 4 to switch on the Sheet Set Manager.

2. On Sheet List tab, open the sheet set you want to remove.

3. In the Sheet Set Manager, right-click the sheet, and choose Remove Sheet (do that each sheet).

4. When completed remove all sheets, right click the sheet set and choose Close Sheet Set

5. Close the Sheet Set Manager

6. Save the drawing

7. Delete DST file

8. Volia!

Kind regards

Stuart

If seeing it is the issue you can set it not to open with associated files. Set SSMAUTOOPEN = 0, and you will never see it automatically again. You will see a performance gain if SSM is not open. But can get similar gains by setting the poll time to 600 and the status to 2
