"upgrading cogo points"

my drawing is "upgrading cogo points" for over am 1/2 hours now. I cant work because it.

thing is, there is no surface in the drawing, no contours

how do you fix this?

You can try BushW's solution (Post #6) here -- Set SAVEFIDELITY to 0 for all dwgs & xrefs, and see if that relieves the problem.

Checked a bit further and found this thread from @AllenJessup , which might shed more light on this issue. Which version of C3D are you running? Do you have all SPs installed?

-Try INSERTing the DWG into a blank drawing.

-If there is an XREF, try copying the offending DWG to your desktop (so it's not in the same folder as the xrefs) and see if it opens there.

In Civil 3D 2020.1 Update, we fixed an issue in which the COGO points referenced into a drawing with an xref would update every time the drawing was opened.

Would you please let me know which version of Civil 3D you're using? If anyone is using 2020.1 or later, please let me know if you're still seeing this issue.
