I have made a criteria for calculating earthworks. But it is not working and showing 0 cu.ft volume for each station. The file is attached, so you can check it and tell me the criteria that is to be made.

For calculating Earthworks first thing you need is two surfaces,
1.Existing ground(the surface that you have)
2.Corridor surface(the surface that you dont have)-this is the surface of all link codes that suit your need (if you dont now which they are see in the help of the subassembly) but i think in your case Datum link code would be enough
the next step is to create that missing surface, Corridor Properties>Surface Tab> Click on most left icon to create surface>Data types needs to be Links, Specify Code select Datum and click on plus sing on the right to add this code to surface> click ok . 

Next thing is to add this surface to sample lines 

Click on Add and then Ok. Now corridor surface is added to sample lines.

Next step is to make comparison between Existing ground and Corridor Surface(the one that you already have)

Thats the workflow.

I have made a corridor surface and done what you said. But the result is that, I am still getting 0 cu.ft cut and fill. I am again attaching the modified file.

Hi salmanjavaid2000,

You do everything good but forgot to import new surface what you create from corridor in cross section view.

I have seen your editing and thankyou for that. Now I want to ask how you did hatching in cross section. By default the hatching is all white for both cut and fill.

Also, I have noticed that in station 0+00, the cut volume is 0. Why is that? The cut is also in front of us. And how can we change units of volume from cu.yard to cu.ft? and how did you display these tables separately for each section?

First you can change hatch from here

the cut volum in first section is 0 because you switch surfaces order, make them like that

for units righ click on table>edit table style>click  on Volume value

select text in the right field

now you see that units for these label are cubic yard, change the to cubic foot and click on the arrow  button

on the picture that you attached i see that tables are placed separately for each section, but the settings for that is:

select section view>right click>Section View Group Properties>click on Change Volume Tables

now you can change the setting where to place tables from here

I have also successfully performed hatching and re-arranged the criteria values, but the volume at station 0+00 is still zero. And also the corridor surface is making some un-necessary cut and fills in the section views, which can be seen in the pictures below and why is that? You can see that in picture named Untitled2. Also, how can we hatch the corridor in section views?

Yes tha value at 0+00 for FILL is 0 because at that station you dont have a fill only cut(everything is under the existing ground) for unnecessary cut and fills you have to add boundary to corridor surface
