Projected additional alignments to group section views not displaying

I have a Section View Group and would like to project additional alignments to the group. The alignments are outside of the proposed surfaces but well within the existing. See 2nd attached. When I add the alignments in the Profile Grade the projected alignments are greyed out and not referencing a profile, and do not show in the sections. The alignments are almost perp to the sample lines and definitely within the sample line widths. Additional projected alignments that are within the proposed surfaces do display in the sections. You can see the greyed alignment in the 1st attachment.

It looks like the issue is that that alignment does not have a profile. Sections are looking for both horizontal and vertical data to display the information. You may need to add in some kind of arbitrary profile or at least sample your EG surface to be able to display it in the section.
