Good afternoon,
Is it possible to project a pipe network running parallel with section view to the section view? Say add a 5m buffer on each side of the sample line so objects that don't perfectly cross are projected?
Thanks
use a profile view style to look like your section view, which means your section line will be an alignment styled to look like a section line.
sounds like a lot but its not.
How are the waves? 😎

Hi
I cannot use profile view instead of section view.
I have a similar question
Is it possible to project pipes highlighted above to the section view with sample line in the middle?
Hi,
An alternative is to replace pipes with solids and then project them to section views. In the Modify tab there is an option to convert the pipe network into solids (you can leave the network) or use the dynamo script to convert them to solids.

Good solution. I tried and it works
But, for our purpose it might be a bit of work though. As we have numerous pipes in the drawing.
Also, I am guessing the solids generated will not update if the pipe updates. Do you know if there is a way to make it update as the pipe updates?
The perfect solution for our case will be to have the pipes directly project to the section view and be dynamic.
Also, it seems like the solid projected comes with a line in the center, it may be because of the way I converted the pipe to 3D solid.
Yes, unfortunately, the central line is visible (it does not go off). As I wrote this is an alternative method, but not ideal.
As for updating the network, the only thing I can suggest is the script in dynamo, although here you also need to be careful when using it due to the known binding problem in Civil 3d.
