profile view station elevation label move with profile object

I been trying to do this for a while and maybe I'm missing something?

here is a posting from 2006 version showing how it can be done. but I have never able to do it.

I am trying to just add a label for things like "original ground" and "finished ground" with a leader which is after dragged state. so I don't need to move these labels when road profiles change or alignment change. been using autocad leader for these for many years since never got civil 3d to do it.
