Profile view section name Band

Hi,

I'm having trouble creating a band style with custom section names.

for example: i created a custome section name label. 2000 as starting point - Index every 20 (m).

i need to make the same thing in the profile view for my profile in order to match the section names i created for the Alignment. for now, i've done it manually. but i'm sure there is a better way to do that.

see the attached photo for the section names for the alignmnet that i created using expressions.

also another photo for section names in the profile view that icreated manually.

can anybody help my figure that out?

thank you in advance

@khaledCULN8,

I assume that on the profile view where you added/placed the stations are in cyan color (at last most values) which dosnt match with alignment station image, can you correct me if i am wrong? ans also share the dwg file only with the alignment with the stations which you want to show on the profile so that can check and find the solution.

Unfortunately the profile view band labels cannot use expressions so you have to either work with profile labels or change your alignment start station and set up the labels as below.

If you change your major labeling format to station, you can set the station label to station format with a station character of none and output of left of the station. Then just set the major station label spacing to what you need. This will show the format you want then you only need to set the start station of the alignment in the alignment properties.

You have not created any sample lines yet.

Instead, the labels of the section names are created from the alignment using main station labeling with custom expressions.

Why not add a real Sample line group? You can use an invisible style for the sample lines if desired.

Then add Band Type "Sectional Data" Style "ISR Section Name INDEX" to your profile View > Bands and the band labeling is as intended.

@khaledCULN8  Hello Khaled, using your sample file I recorded a Screencast to explain more clearly my given suggestion on how to create a sample line group and add the Section numbers to the Profile view band then. I hope this is what you are looking for.

Civil Alignment Sample Line Group with Section numbering in Profile View Band, is ready for viewing.

Not directly.

But the Section View names can be built using the Properties "Next Counter", "Parent Alignment" and "Section View Station" in Name template.

Using "Profile (<[Next Counter(CP)]>)" as name template and the starting number is set to 100 this will produce Profile View names matching to Section Lines names.
