Profile view annotation labels are massive

Hi,

I recently made a profile view for the first time and I had to switch my document to feet because the profile view creation tool was getting my elevations and distances wrong. Once I set my drawing to feet my profile was correct but I cannot figure out the label situation.

I believe my paper space is still in inches  and now I cannot get the annotative scaling correct.

No matter what I have looked up thus far I just cannot get the axis and tick labels to look right in my viewport.

I am trying to have normal looking annotative axis and ticks with a 1"= 150' scale for the width of the profile. I know that since there is a axis in the bottom the scale isn't that important but it's what's been asked of me.

I know that this should be simple AutoCAD actions and I should have more knowledge as to how to properly setup model and paper space. Any help would be so so appreciated. I have added the DWG for reference.

Do this:

  1. Evaluate your viewport scale. In your situation it's 1-150. Write this down (or commit it to memory.) See image-1
  2. Go to modelspace and make the Drawing Scale the same are the viewport scale you just wrote down. See image-2.
  3. Then go Edit Profile View Style. Change your TEXT HEIGHT along the vertical axes and horizontal axes to 0.06. (This will make your text height 6/100th of an inch on a hardcopy when you 'print to scale' using your curent plot settings. You may tweak this text height to your liking.) Be sure to change top and bottom axes and left and right axes. View your profile from layout while the viewport is still scaled to 1-150. Does it look better? Finally, go back to Edit Profile View Style and change your vertical and horizontal Tick Marks so they'll be shorter, they are currently too large in proportion to the text height.

Save yourself a lot of headaches by starting a new drawing using one of the supplied Templates for C3D. Set the drawing scale to match that of the PS Viewport so you will know how things will look. Copy your surface objects (including the objects defining them) and the alignment into the new drawing. Create a new profile and place the profile view as desired, using one of the predefined styles.
