Profile Scale Problems

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello!

I am new to Civil 3D. I just changed my scale in model space from 1"=100' to 1"=190'. When I did this, it "changed" the scale of the profiles I had drawn in model space. It appears that it did not actually change the scale of my profile, just the horizontal axis. Now the axis is extended far beyond the profile. Changing the scale of the profile doesn't seem to help.

I have attached an image of my issue. Any advice?

Post a copy of your dwg file and someone will take a look at it.

What version (including SP# if any) are you using?

Sarah, most of the time you must REGEN after changing the scale. In C3D2016 (and others I'm told) sometimes even that doesn't kick the graphics into submission. Changing the Drawing scale in the Drawing's settings will usually cure it.

Sarah,

I'm sorry to say that although I was able to reproduce the issue using your file, I don't yet see what's causing it.  The following is for anyone else looking to help troubleshoot.

Here's a screenshot of what I see when the dwg's model view is set to 1"=100'.  Take note of the profile's ending station.

Now here's what I seen when the dwg view scale is changed to 1"=190'.  Notice how the profile line appears to end at a different station?

BTW -- I'm in C3D 2016 SP2.

My slower than molasses office internet won't permit me to download the 66mb dwg. However, based on the posted images I can guess that the Band's Stagger to the right option is turned on, so the band is extending past the end of the profile view.

The issue was the stagger! Thank you for your help, everyone.
